Every link in the chain counts

The TMS Soundwave services are the result of teamwork. The drivers – as first point of contact for the travel agents – the warehouse, the mailroom and the planning department all work closely together and each of them forms an indispensable link in the chain of the whole process.

“In the travel sector flexibility will either make it or break it. Keeping one's eye on the ball is simply part of our nature.”

Warehouse - the pivotal point
Each year TMS Soundwave processes tons and tons of tourist brochures. The two interlinked warehouses – one Dutch language and one French language – play a crucial role as collection and transfer points. Ten vans are on the road every day serving different regions. Each van delivers to several dozens of travel agents. Each of the 1,600 travel agents receives a visit of at least once a week.
All hands on deck
Warehouse activities experience a sharp peak twice a year. “During the main distribution period for summer brochures in January and the winter brochures in August, we rent extra warehouse space so that we can keep everything running smoothly. During these periods we also use DHL courier services, so that that the huge volumes of print material reach the different travel agents in time. Once these big operations are behind us, the travel agents can order extra copies of the brochures they need online”, recounts André Sleurs, Warehouse and Dispatching Manager.
At home in airports
In addition to the service provided to travel agents, TMS Soundwave also runs a daily courier service to the airports. Flight envelopes are collected and then archived. We also deliver gadgets such as sun mats, cool bags, parasols, etc. that departing travellers receive at the counter at the airport. And finally TMS Soundwave guarantees the punctual delivery of the so-called co-mail. This includes all documents (names and hotel lists) that have to travel with the airplane and which are
intended for the hosts or hostesses at the holiday destination.
